The BrainPingPong Team built the BrainPingPong app as a free-to-download app with optional in-app purchases (subscriptions and credits). This SERVICE is provided by the BrainPingPong Team and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
We do not collect personally identifiable information from our users. The app does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to function.
API Keys (BYOK): If you choose to use your own API keys, these keys are stored securely on your local device. They are never transmitted to our servers.
BrainPingPong provides an optional age estimation feature that allows users to take or select photos for analysis by third-party AI providers.
- What face data is collected: When a user voluntarily submits a photo for age analysis, the photo is sent to the user's selected third-party AI providers (such as Face++, AWS Rekognition, Luxand, and others) for processing. The app extracts estimated age, gender, emotion, and ethnicity from the AI providers' responses. No face geometry, faceprints, or biometric identifiers are collected or created by BrainPingPong.
- How face data is used: Face data is used solely to display age estimates, gender, emotion, and related analysis results to the user within the app. Results are optionally stored in on-device history for the user's convenience. Face data is never used for advertising, user identification, tracking, or profiling.
- Third-party sharing: Photos are transmitted directly from the user's device to the selected third-party AI providers via their APIs for analysis. BrainPingPong's server does not store, retain, or have access to user photos. Each third-party provider processes photos according to their own privacy policies and API data retention terms, typically deleting API data within 30 days or less.
- Storage and retention: Analysis results (age estimates, gender, emotion) may be stored locally on the user's device as part of the analysis history feature. The original photo is stored only on the user's device. No face data or photos are stored on BrainPingPong's servers. Users can delete their local history at any time from within the app.
- No biometric data: BrainPingPong does not create, store, or process biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined under BIPA, GDPR, or similar regulations. The app does not perform facial recognition, face matching, or identity verification. Age and attribute estimates are statistical approximations, not biometric measurements.
- User control: Use of the age analysis feature is entirely voluntary. Users choose when to take or select a photo and which AI providers to use. No photos are captured or transmitted without the user's explicit action.
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
